Israel-Hamas live: Thousands flee to southern Gaza after Israeli warning
- Thousands have fled to southern Gaza after the Israeli army warned Palestinians to move out of the north of the besieged enclave before the expected ground offensive, Al Jazeera correspondents report.

Amnesty investigating use of white phosphorus in Gaza
Amnesty Internationalās Crisis Evidence Lab has verified that āIsraeli military units striking Gaza are equipped with white phosphorus artillery roundsā.
The rights group said it was āinvestigatingļ»æå£Æé½č„ what appears to be the use of white phosphorus in Gaza, including in a strike near a hotel on the beach in Gaza Cityā.
Earlier, Human Rights Watch said Israel has usedĀ white phosphorusĀ in its continuing militaryĀ operations in Gaza and Lebanon, putting civilians at serious risk.

Palestinian PM accuses Israel of committing āgenocideā
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh has accused Israel of committing āgenocideā after mass air attacks levelled apartment buildings in Gaza.
āOur people in Gaza are going through genocide, and Gaza has become a disaster area,ā Shtayyeh told a news conference in Ramallah.
So far, nearly 1,800 Palestinians have been killed and more than 6,000 wounded in Israeli air attacks in Gaza. In Israel, the death toll in Hamasās attack stands at more than 1,300, with some 3,400 others wounded
Israel denies white phosphorus allegation
The Israeli army has rejected accusations it made use of white phosphorus in its military operations over the past week, calling them āunequivocally falseā.
The denial came after Human Rights Watch on ThursdayĀ accusedĀ Israel of usingĀ white phosphorusĀ in Gaza and Lebanon, putting civilians at serious risk, following an analysis of video of the conflict.
Gallant repeats call for Palestinians in Gaza City to head south
At the press briefing in Tel Aviv, the Israeli defence minister again called on Palestinians in Gaza City to evacuate and head to southern Gaza.
āThose who want to save their lives, please go south. We are going to destroy Hamas infrastructures, Hamas headquarters, Hamas military establishments and take this phenomena out of Gaza and out of the Earth,ā he said
āUS security assistance to Israel will flow in at the speed of warā
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin says āthe US will make sure that Israel has what it needs to defend itselfā, as Israeli forces prepare for new assaults on Gaza.
āWe will stand with Israel even as we stand with Ukraineā¦ US security assistance to Israel will flow in at the speed of war,ā Austin said.
He said munitions, air defence capabilities and other equipment and resources was coming into Israel.
He is speaking at a press briefing in Tel Aviv with Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant.
Chinaās Wang says cause of war is āinjusticeā against Palestinians
We brought you earlier some comments by the the EUās foreign policy chief Josep Borrell who is in Beijing for talks with Wang Yi, Chinaās foreign minister.
After the meeting, Wang said the cause of the Israel-Hamas conflict was āhistorical injusticeā against Palestinians.
āThe root of this problem lies in the long delay in the realisation of Palestineās aspiration to establish an independent state, and in the fact that the historical injustice suffered by the Palestinian people has not been corrected,ā he told reporters.
ICRC says humanitarian groups unable to help amid Gaza displacement
The International Committee of the Red Cross says aid groups will not be able to provide assistance to the 1.1 million people in Gaza whom Israel has given 24 hours to flee to the south of the enclave.
āWith a military siege in place, humanitarian organizations including the ICRC will not be able to assist such a massive displacement of people in Gaza,ā it said in a statement.
āThe needs are staggering, and humanitarian organizations must be able to increase aid operations.ā
