Somalia and Turkey signed a new defense agreement today

The signing of this new agreement which took place in Turkey was signed by the Minister of Defense of Somalia Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur and the Minister of Defense of Turkey Yaşar Güler.

This agreement, which is a financial cooperation, is focused on defense cooperation.

This historic agreement is aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the different parties, developing cooperation that is beneficial to both parties, and this agreement was signed at a high-level meeting attended by officials from the two governments.

With this agreement, Turkey’s commitment to support Somalia’s recovery and ongoing development efforts was presented.

This partnership is particularly important for Somalia, which is strengthening the reconstruction of our military, after many years of conflict and instability.

According to the agreement, Turkey will provide financial assistance for important development projects of the Somali military, which includes the investment of important infrastructure, which is necessary to improve the quality of the country’s armed forces.

However, this new agreement is an important step to strengthen the relationship between the two countries and improve defense, as the Somali oil exploration vessel recently arrived in Mogadishu as part of the implementation of the agreement previously reached by both parties.
