Don Jr aides launch Georgia super PAC for Senate runoffs
Politico reports that advisers to Donald Trump Jr are launching a super PAC to push the president’s supporters to vote in the upcoming Georgia Senate runoffs.
Republicans are increasingly concerned that Donald Trump’s base may boycott the January vote.
The group, Save the US Senate PAC, will begin airing commercials featuring Mr Trump Jr that are aimed at mobilising Trump backers across Georgia,The super PAC will air its ads only on conservative radio and TV stations to reach Trump loyalists.
Senior Republicans are alarmed that Donald Trump’s allegations of widespread voter fraud in Georgia and elsewhere, for which he has provided no evidence, may have the unintended side effect of discouraging his supporters from turning out, thereby handing control of the Senate to Democrats.

Joe Biden confirmed as winner in Wisconsin
Wisconsin’s elections board has finalised Joe Biden’s victory in the state on Monday afternoon, even as Republicans contended the announcement should have been delayed ahead of a likely lawsuit from the Trump campaign.
Donald Trump says a lawsuit will be brought by Tuesday.
The news comes just hours after Arizona certified its election results for the Biden campaign.
Biggest monthly gain for Dow since 1987

McEnany mocked for ‘pointless lie’
After the announcement that Joe Biden has named an all-female communications team for his White House, current Trump administration White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany felt the need to tweet that Donald Trump “already has an ALL FEMALE Senior White House Press Team”.
She added that so do Mike Pence, Melania Trump, and Karen Pence, before calling The Washington Post “completely DISCREDITED” for its “blinding propagandist Fake News proclivities”.
Unfortunately for Ms McEnany, it’s not exactly true.
She appears to have forgotten, or accidentally demoted, her male colleagues Judd Deere, Brian Morgenstern, and Devin O’Malley.
Anti-Trump Republican George Conway, husband to former White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, was quick to call out Ms McEnany, saying: “This is just such a weird and pointless thing to lie about.”
Mr Deere is White House deputy press secretary; Mr Morgenstern is White House deputy communications director and deputy press secretary; and Mr O’Malley is press secretary to the vice president.
Senior White House aides Stephen and Katie Miller announce birth of child
Senior Trump aide Stephen Miller and his wife Katie, communications director for Vice President Mike Pence, have announced the birth of their first child.
The pair, who married in a ceremony at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC, on 16 February, welcomed their daughter Mackenzie on 19 November
Biden mulling historic nominees for defence secretary
President-elect Joe Biden reportedly is considering three candidates to run his Pentagon that would be historic picks, potentially installing the first woman or Black person as defence secretary.
Mr Biden already has announced his nominees for secretary of state, director of national intelligence and homeland security secretary, among other national security Cabinet-level posts. But he has yet to decide on a defence secretary, though an announcement is expected in December.
